After several days of no sightings, messages, or anything, it was getting pretty depressing.
HOWEVER, a great sighting yesterday night! Someone saw her walking around the grass and mini-river at the back of Beechwood Commons. They're pretty sure it's her because they even saw the white tip on her tail. It's really hot for a cat today, so I went to go look with a help of a friend, but it's really prickily and hot and we didn't get much done. Will head back out tonight to try to find her. :D
- Sighting at at Beechwood Commons - grassy, trees, prickily bushes.

Day 1 Overview
At last, I've arrived in Waterloo and am able to start Operation Stop NOVA.
Day 1 was pretty hectic - I arrived in Toronto at around 7AM and so by the time I got my luggage, did a quick stop by the Imprint office and finally got home, it was about 11AM.
Goals of Day 1
I ended up distributing about 100 flyers in all the nearby mailboxes and walked around - a lot. I did a walk from about 3PM - 6PM in the nearby neighborhood as well as the forest just beside my house. No sign of any cat, although there was a huge hobo-y "house" in the woods which was really creepy so I promptly ran away. It was raining on and off and I got a few bug bites, but it gave me a good idea of the area and kind of just what I was about to get myself into. I had just gotten home and about to take a nap when I got my first call!
1st Phone Call Details:
Some lady thought that she saw a very similar looking cat around the bushes at 295A Lester (which for those who don't know, is preeetty far from where I am). Despite it being so far, this was my first lead since I handed out the posters so I booked it (like, RAN) over to Lester (THANKS ANTONIO FOR COMING ALONG!) - we searched and searched for an hour - I climbed over bushes and backyards, but there was no sign of the cat that the lady saw.
Now I was pretty tired from traveling to Waterloo and had to take a break so I did - grabbed some food and took a nice 2 hour nap which was good. When I woke up, a nice lady called me just to say good luck in finding my cat - and that she would be keeping her eyes out for her. It was actually really nice getting a goodluck call from a stranger and it definitely lifted my spirits.
After the nap, it was back to my place because I had another lead! Before I went back to my house though, I did a final run through Lester - and Antonio spotted a cat that looked like Nova!!! We got closer, but in the end, it was a cat that looked like Nova, but wasn't her. :( False sighting - but hey, it means my posters are working!
On the way home I got another text:
Text Details:
A nice lady texted me to say she thought she saw Nova around 491 Beechwood (which is JUST around the corner from my place!!).
I took a nice long look here later that night, but there was no sighting. I needed a flashlight ASAP, and I needed some rest, so I walked around for another hour before I finally called it a night and went to bed.
